Draw Transparency & Randomness
Updated 25th February 2026
Hot Comps competitions are games of chance. Winners are selected randomly from valid entries in accordance with our published Terms and Conditions. The selection process is system-driven and not subject to manual discretion or alteration once a competition has closed.
1. Live Draw Competitions
For competitions advertised as Live Draws, all valid entries received before the Closing Date and time are included in a random draw after closure. The winning ticket number is selected using a system-generated random selection method.
Where live-streamed, the draw process may be displayed for transparency. The outcome of the draw is determined by the system selection result and is not influenced by any manual intervention.
2. Auto Draw Competitions
For Auto Draw competitions, winner selection is performed automatically by website system logic either:
(a) at the point the competition closes; or
(b) when the final available ticket is allocated,
whichever occurs first.
The selection process is random, system-generated, and does not involve manual discretion.
3. Instant Win Competitions
For competitions with Instant Win prizes, winning ticket numbers (or equivalent winning outcomes) are generated before the competition opens and distributed across the available ticket range using a randomisation process.
When a matching ticket number is allocated to an entrant, the corresponding prize is awarded automatically by the system. Instant Win outcomes are not manually assigned during the competition.
4. Random Number Generation (RNG)
Where random number generation is used, it is performed by automated system logic designed to produce unpredictable outcomes and prevent human influence over winner selection.
No manual override, re-selection, or alteration of winning ticket numbers is permitted once a competition has closed.
5. Auditability and Logging
Our systems maintain event records for key competition actions, including:
– ticket allocation events;
– competition closure events;
– winner selection events; and
– prize award confirmations.
Draw and allocation records are retained for a minimum of six years to support verification, internal review, and compliance checks.
6. Equal Chance Confirmation
All valid entries, including paid and free postal entries, are allocated from the same ticket pool and sequence and carry an equal chance of winning for the applicable competition format. No weighting, prioritisation, or differential treatment is applied based on the method of entry.
