Yes. Every valid postal entry is processed using exactly the same random ticket allocation system as paid online entries. Every valid entry has identical odds of winning.

Can I enter more than once?

Yes, unless a competition has a stated entry limit per person.

Can I choose my ticket numbers?

No. Ticket numbers are allocated automatically using our random ticket allocation system. Neither entrants nor Hot Comps can choose or influence which ticket numbers are allocated.

How are ticket numbers allocated?

Every valid entry enters the same random allocation process. Our system randomly assigns one of the remaining available ticket numbers. Ticket numbers are never manually allocated and cannot be requested or reserved.

Where can I find my ticket numbers?

Your ticket numbers are displayed in your account and are also emailed to you once your order has been processed.

How are winners chosen?

When a competition closes (or sells out for Auto Draw competitions), the winning ticket is selected using Verified Random, an independent third-party draw platform powered by the drand public randomness beacon. Every draw is independently verifiable.

Is the draw really random?

Yes. Every draw uses Verified Random to select the winning ticket independently. Neither Hot Comps nor any entrant can influence or predict the outcome.

Can Hot Comps choose the winner?

No. Winning tickets are selected independently through Verified Random. Our staff cannot manually choose, alter or influence the winning ticket.

What is Verified Random?

Verified Random is an independently verifiable draw platform that uses the drand public randomness beacon to generate publicly verifiable random results.

What is a Live Draw?

A Live Draw is broadcast live after the competition closes, with the winning ticket selected using Verified Random during the broadcast.

What is an Auto Draw?

An Auto Draw uses the same independently verifiable process as a Live Draw, but the winner is selected automatically by the system once the competition closes or sells out.

What are Instant Win prizes?

Instant Win prizes are awarded immediately if your randomly allocated ticket number matches one of the predetermined Instant Win winning numbers. They are separate from the main competition draw.

Can I win both an Instant Win prize and the main prize?

Yes. Unless otherwise stated on the competition page, winning an Instant Win prize does not remove your ticket from the main draw.

What happens if a competition doesn’t sell out?

Competitions are still drawn in accordance with the advertised closing arrangements and our Terms & Conditions.

Can I watch the draw live?

Yes. Our Live Draws are streamed live and can also be watched afterwards.

How will I know if I’ve won?

We’ll contact you using the details on your account. You can also claim your prize through your Payout Portal.

Do I need to verify my identity?

Yes. Before any prize is released, you’ll need to complete our identity verification process using valid photographic identification.

Why do I need to use my real name?

The name on your Hot Comps account must match your photographic identification. Entries submitted using false or misleading details may be disqualified.

How long do I have to claim my prize?

You normally have 21 days from notification to complete identity verification and claim your prize.

Can someone else claim my prize?

No. Prizes must normally be claimed by the winning entrant.

Do you offer cash alternatives?

Many competitions include a cash alternative. Where available, this will be shown on the competition page.

How are prizes delivered?

Delivery depends on the prize. Some prizes are shipped directly, while others may be collected or paid by bank transfer.

Can I cancel my order?
