Sherry Cask – Deliciously smooth, with rich dried fruits and sherry, balanced with woodsmoke and spice. Described by F Paul Pacult, the renowned international whisky writer, in his book Kindred Spirits as ‘simply the best 12 Year Old single malt around’.
Triple Cask – Macallan’s Triple Cask range was launched in 2018, taking the place of the Fine Oak range. Matured for 12 years and drawn from a combination of European sherry seasoned casks, American sherry seasoned casks and American ex-bourbon casks.
Double Cask – A titan of the whisky world, The Macallan has been crafting single malt Scotch whisky since 1824. The distillery places an emphasis on sourcing top quality casks, one of the many decisions in the production process that keeps fans coming back from more. The Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask has been matured in a combination of hand-picked American oak and ex-sherry casks. This is a rich and warming whisky that displays notes of candied citrus, caramel, spicy ginger and hints of vanilla and nutmeg.
