Loch Lomond 25yo Westwood
This expression from the Loch Lomond Distillery was created in partnership with Lee Westwood, the professional golfer! It’s a 25 year old single malt, drawn from a single American oak cask which was laid down back in 1996 and allowed to rest for quarter of a century. Following that, it was bottled up in June 2021 at cask strength, with an outturn of 254 bottles.
Matured in a refill American oak hogshead for quarter of a century, it reflects the 25 European Tour wins that Westwood has achieved, and offers aromas of sweet vanilla fudge and ripe pineapple on the nose. The palate holds notes of ripe peach, crispy apples, caramel and toasted oak, with hints of ginger and cinnamon lingering in the finish.
